Application

Used for cultivation of Avian Mycoplasma.
Frey mycoplasma broth base may be used as a culture medium for examining various proteins of Mycoplasma pulmonis.

Casein enzymic hydrolysate, 7.50
Papaic digest of soyabean meal, 2.50
Yeast extract, 5.00
Sodium chloride, 5.00
Potassium chloride, 0.40
Magnesium sulphate, 0.20
Disodium phosphate, 1.60
Monopotassium phosphate, 0.10

Preparation Note

Suspend 22.3 g of Frey Mycoplasma Broth Base in 900 ml of distilled water. Boil to dissolve the medium completely. Sterilize by autoclaving at 15 lbs. pressure (121°C) for 15 minutes. Cool to 45-50°C and aseptically add 100 ml of sterile heat inactivated horse serum (H1138). Mix well before dispensing.
