General description

Method: reflectometric with test strips and reagent 1.0 - 45.0 mg/l HCHO Reflectoquant®
The Reflectoquant Formaldehyde test includes test strips and all necessary additional reagents. Formaldehyde is used as a disinfectant for surfaces, medical equipment and also as a raw material in binding agents, fixing agents or as a preservative. Formaldehyde reacts with a Triazole to form a purple-red tetrazine that is determined reflectometrically on the RQflex. For pre-testing a sample in an economic and quick way to estimate the formaldehyde concentration and a possible dilution factor prior to using this quantitative method we recommend our semi-quantitative MQuant test strips for formaldehyde. Further quantitative determination methods can be found with our Spectroquant tests.
