General description

5-(4-Pyridyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thiol, a mercapto-substituted 1,2,4-triazole, is a versatile heterocyclic ligand having thiol group.

Application

5-(4-Pyridyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thiol (PTT) may be used as ligand in the preparation of Zn(II) coordination frameworks under solvothermal conditions. It may be used for the encapsulation of ZnO nanorods for their surface modification.
