Descripción general

RGD sequences on extracellular matrix proteins (fibronectin, vitronectin) promote cell adhesion to cellular integrin receptors. The thiol group on the N-terminus of TrueGel3D® RGD peptide acts as linker to bind RGD motif to the polymer (Dextran/PVA). The conjugated RGD motif on polymer promotes adhesion of cells with appropriate integrin receptors.
TrueGel3D® is a commercially available polymer-based diverse array of scaffolds for 3D in vitro tumor models. The RGD peptide present in these hydrogels enable cell attachment.

Aplicación

Polymer with cell adhesion motif (RGD) employed to generate cell-adhesive hydrogel

Características y beneficios

Contains cell adhesion motif RGD (Acetyl-Cys-Doa*-Doa-Gly-Arg-Gly-Asp-Ser-Pro-NH2), which binds to appropriate integrin receptors on cells.

*Doa : 8-amino-3,6-dioxaoctanoic acid

Componentes

TRUERGD contains RGD degradable polymer lyophilized and water

Three-dimensional multicellular tumor models are receiving an ever-growing focus as preclinical drug-screening platforms due to their potential to recapitulate major physiological features of human tumors in vitro. In line with this momentum, the technologies for assembly of 3D microtumors are

TrueGel3D™ synthetic hydrogel can be used to study co-culture of tumor and stromal cells.

Fibroblasts that are present in the stroma secrete glycoproteins and polysaccharides to form extracellular matrix. They maintain the structural integrity within the connective tissue and play a key role in cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, scleroderma and several other diseases.

Protocolos

TrueGel3D™ is a chemically-defined hydrogel formed by mixing polymers with crosslinkers. This hydrogel permits the encapsulation of cells to put them in a three-dimensional environment to better mimic the native tissue environment.

TrueGel3D™ is chemically defined hydrogel, enables cell growth in 3D environment and mimics native tissue environment. Slow gelation facilitates filling of microchannels or syringes. Find detail protocol of slow gelation for TrueGel3D™ kits
