Unc-51-like kinase 4 (ULK4) is a 1275 amino acid kinase expressed in the neurons. The gene encoding ULK4 is localized on human chromosome 3p22.1 and has 36 exons.

Acciones bioquímicas o fisiológicas

Unc-51-like kinase 4 (ULK4) acts as a regulator in many signaling pathways that involve extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK), p38 and c-Jun N-terminal kinases (JNK). It is associated with schizophrenia and multiple myeloma. Absence of ULK4 disturbs the composition of microtubules. This kinase contributes to neurogenesis and cell motility.
