The pET-52b(+) vector is designed for cloning and high-level expression of target proteins fused with the 8 aa Strep•Tag II coding sequence that is cleavable with human rhinovirus (HRV) 3C protease. The plasmid contains a strong T7lac promoter, an optimized RBS, the coding sequence for the HRV 3C protease cleavage site (LysGluValLysPheGln↓GlyPro), and a multiple cloning site that contains restriction enzyme sites found in many other Novagen expression vectors to facilitate insert transfer. It also encodes an optional C-terminal thrombin protease cleavage site and His•Tag® coding sequence with 10 histidines. The His•Tag fusion is compatible with purification, detection, and quantification.
The pET Vectors are supplied as purified plasmid DNA (10 µg). Each order of pET DNA also includes an Induction Control strain (supplied as a glycerol stock). Please contact technical service if you need additional information.
