Specificity

Gialpha-1. Strong reactivity with rat (100%), mouse (78%), bovine (74%) and guinea pig (48%). Slight reactivity with human (31%). Specificity confirmed by Western blot versus bovine Galphat, rat Goalpha, rat Gialpha-1, Gialpha-2, rat Gialpha-3, bovine Gsalpha, and murine GoalphaA and GoalphaB.

Immunogen

Rat brain G-proteins purified by the method of Sternweis and Robishaw (Sternweis & Robishaw, 1984).
