Gene Information

human ... SLC9A3R1(9368)

Specificity

Recognizes Ezrin/Radixin/Moesin. These proteins function as linkers between the plasma membrane and the actin cytoskeleton, and are involved in cell adhesion, membrane ruffling, and microvilli formation. This antibody does not cross-react with other related proteins such as merlin or band 4.1.

Immunogen

KLH-conjugated, synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Thr567 of human ezrin.

Application

Detect Ezrin/Radixin/Moesin using this Anti-Ezrin/Radixin/Moesin Antibody validated for use in WB, IC, IH(P).

Research Sub Category
Adhesion (CAMs)
Western blotting: 1:1,000. The 75 kDa band is Moesin and the 80kDa band is Ezrin and Radixin. (For best results, incubate membrane with diluted antibody in 5% BSA, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween-20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight)

Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:50. Positive control tissue is breast carcinoma. Cellular localization is membrane and cytoplasm

Immunocytochemistry (IF): 1:100

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.

Physical form

Protein A and peptide affinity purified immunoglobulin. Liquid in 10 mM sodium HEPES, pH 7.5, 150 mM NaCl, 100 μg/mL BSA, with 50% glycerol.

Storage and Stability

Maintain at -20ºC for 12 months, do not aliquot.
