Gene Information

human ... LILRB2(10288)

General description

Leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor subfamily B member 2 (UniProt Q8N423; also known as CD85 antigen-like family member D, CD85d, Ig-like transcript 4, ILT-4, Leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor 2, LIR-2, MIR-10, Monocyte/macrophage immunoglobulin-like receptor 10) is encoded by the LILRB2 (also known as CD85D, ILT4, LIR2, MIR10) gene (Entrez Gene ID 10288) in human. CD85d belongs to the B class of leukocyte immunoglobulin-like (LIR) receptors family, members of which contain two or four extracellular immunoglobulin domains, a transmembrane domain, and two to four cytoplasmic immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs (ITIMs). Cd85d is expressed on immune cells and negatively regulates immune response by engaging class I MHC molecules (HLA-A, HLA-B, HLA-C) on antigen-presenting cells.

Specificity

Reacts with all 4 known human CD85d isoforms.

Immunogen

Epitope: Extracellular domain
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to the extracellular domain of human LILRB2.

Application

Anti-LILRB2 Antibody is an antibody against LILRB2 for use in Western Blotting, Immunohistochemistry .
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:50 dilution from a representative lot detected LILRB2 in human ovarian cancer tumor cells, mouse cerebral cortex, human brain cancer tumor cells, mouse hippocampus, and Non-Hodgkin lymphoma cells.

Quality

Evaluated by Western Blotting in Jurkat cell lysate.

Western Blotting Analysis: 1.0 µg/mL of this antibody detected LILRB2 in 10 µg of Jurkat cell lysate.

Target description

~64/120 kDa observed. The calculated molecular weight of the four isoforms range from ~52 to ~65 kDa, a band with apparent molecular weight above ~110 kDa is often seen on blots as a result of glycosylation.

Physical form

Affinity purified
Purified rabbit polyclonal antibody in buffer containing 0.1 M Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4), 150 mM NaCl with 0.05% sodium azide.

Storage and Stability

Stable for 1 year at 2-8°C from date of receipt.

Other Notes

Concentration: Please refer to lot specific datasheet.
