General description

PAX transactivation activation domain-interacting protein (PTIP) is a ubiquitous nuclear protein composed of 5 tandem BRCA1 carboxyl-terminal (BRCT) domains. PTIP was initially identified as an interacting, transactivation protein that binds to the C-terminal end of Pax2. Since its discovery, studies have shown PTIP to bind several Pax proteins, playing a critical role in response to DNA damage. It also has activity as a phosphoserine/ phosphothreonine-specific binding module, and can discern ATM and ATR gamma irradiation induced phosphorylated substrates. PTIP is involved in early cellular development and is likely to have a role in cell proliferation as well.

Immunogen

Histidine-tagged recombinant protein corresponding to human PTIP.

Application

Anti-PTIP Antibody is a Chicken Polyclonal Antibody for detection of PTIP also known as PAX transactivation activation domain-interacting protein, protein encoded by CAG trinucleotide repeats & has been validated in WB, IHC & IF.
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A representative lot was used by an independent laboratory in IH (Patel, S., et al. (2007).

Immunofluorescence Analysis: A represenative lot was used by an independent laboratory in IF (Lechner, M., et al. (2000).

The 53BP1-RIF1-shieldin pathway maintains genome stability by suppressing nucleolytic degradation of DNA ends at double-strand breaks (DSBs). Although RIF1 interacts with damaged chromatin via phospho-53BP1 and facilitates recruitment of the shieldin complex to DSBs, it is unclear whether other regulatory
