General description

HPLC cartridge
Superspher® RP-select B is a highly reproducible traditionally produced spherical silica gel carriers with reversed phase properties and the hydrophobicity of a C-8 phase. This carrier is very well suited for the separation of basic compounds, but with still good properties for the determination of neutral and acidic compounds. The high performance silica carrier with a particle size of 4µm yields an excellent pressure/separation performance ratio. This sorbent is packed into a LiChroCART 75-4 HPLC cartridge. The connection to the HPLC system is being accomplished by use of the manu-CART NT cartrige holder (1.51486).

Application

  • Screening, library-assisted identification and validated quantification of 23 benzodiazepines, flumazenil, zaleplone, zolpidem and zopiclone in plasma: This study demonstrates the application of liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry with atmospheric pressure chemical ionization for the screening and quantification of various compounds in plasma, utilizing the high-resolution capabilities of the Superspher 60 RP-select B column (Kratzsch et al., 2004).

  • Screening, library-assisted identification and validated quantification of fifteen neuroleptics and three of their metabolites in plasma: Employing liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry with atmospheric pressure chemical ionization, this study utilized the Superspher 60 RP-select B to detect and quantify neuroleptics in plasma, showcasing its utility in pharmaceutical and clinical research (Kratzsch et al., 2003).

  • Validated assay for quantification of oxcarbazepine and its active dihydro metabolite 10-hydroxycarbazepine in plasma: This research highlights the column′s application in therapeutic drug monitoring using atmospheric pressure chemical ionization liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry, reflecting its precision and reliability in clinical pharmacology (Maurer et al., 2002).
