Application
Sulfur dioxide (SO2) can be used:
- In the palladium catalyzed aminosulfonylation reaction.
- To prepare 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane [DABCO. (SO2)2] or DABSO, which is used as a reagent to synthesize N-aminosulfonamides via aminosulfonylation process using palladium catalyst.
- To synthesize polysulfobetaine (PSB/SO2) copolymer.
