Application

Sephacryl® has been used in size exclusion chromatography purification of the Acacia tortuosa gum, dextran-RBA12 from Weissella cibaria and dextran from Weissella cibaria JAG8.
Sephacryl® is used in gel filtration chromatography, protein chromatography, and resins and separation media. Sephacryl® has been used to develop a novel high-throughput screening assay for sickle cell disease drug discovery. Sephacryl® has also been used to purify and characterize ovine pancreatic elastase as well as a lysozyme from human urine.
For size exclusion chromatography; the HR grade is a smaller particle size with narrower size range distribution, allowing for more efficient separations at faster flow rates. Recommended fractionation ranges are listed for globular proteins and dextrans..

Pre-mRNA splicing specifically deposits the exon junction complex (EJC) onto spliced mRNA, which is important for downstream events. Here, we show that EJC components are primarily recruited to the spliceosome by association with the intron via the intron-binding protein, IBP160.
