General description
Avanti Inositol Snoopers® consist of 13 different lipid species spotted individually on a solid support. Each spot contains 1 μg of the highest quality pure lipid and is ideal for investigating lipid-protein interactions.
Application
Inositol Snoopers® has been used to obtain qualitative information about the binding of phosphatase and tensin homolog (pten) and its derivatives to anionic lipids. It has also been used to study lipid-protein interactions, characterize lipid-binding antibodies and identify novel lipid-interacting proteins of potential therapeutic value.

Protein-metabolite networks are central to biological systems, but are incompletely understood. Here, we report a screen to catalog protein-lipid interactions in yeast. We used arrays of 56 metabolites to measure lipid-binding fingerprints of 172 proteins, including 91 with predicted lipid-binding

The lack of innovative drug targets for glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) limits patient survival to approximately 1 year following diagnosis. The pro-survival kinase Akt provides an ideal target for the treatment of GBM as Akt signaling is frequently activated in this
