Anwendung

Wird zur Eliminierung einer Enzyminhibition durch Schwermetallspuren verwendet sowie zur Hemmung von Enzymen, die zweiwertige Kationen als Cofaktoren benötigen. Da diese Form bereits mit Ca²⁺ chelatisiert wurde, ist sie für zweiwertige Kationen mit größerer EDTA-Affinität selektiv, die sie gegen Ca²⁺ austauscht.
