Allgemeine Beschreibung

Phosphatidylcholines (PCs) are phospholipids, that are abundantly present in the membrane. The fatty acids in the sn-1 and sn-2 positions of PCs are covalently attached to a glycerol with the help of ester bonds.
The list of Phosphatidylcholine products offered by Avanti is designed to provide compounds having a variety of physical properties. Products available include short chain (C3-C8 are water soluble and hygroscopic), saturated, multi-unsaturated and mixed acid PC′s. All of the products are purified by HPLC, and special precautions are taken to protect the products for oxidization and hydrolysis.

Anwendung

09:0 PC (1,2-dinonanoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine) may be used:
  • as an internal standard for phospholipid extraction from renal tissues using liquid chromatography coupled to electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry
  • as a supplement in sample mixture as internal standard for liquid-liquid extraction and to spike the samples in order to determine lipid extract from fibroblasts by high-performance liquid chromatography/electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC/ESI-MS/MS)
  • an internal standard to spike frozen aliquots of plasma in liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS-MS)
