General description

Casein Kinase 2 (CK2) is a ubiquitously expressed serine/threonine kinase that has been implicated in various cellular functions such as cell death, cell cycle regulation, and mRNA synthesis. This protein kinase comprises of two catalytic α subunits and two dimeric β subunits that associate to form a heterotetrameric enzyme complex.CK2 is also involved in regulating viral infections
Monoclonal Anti-Casein Kinase 2β antibody is specific for human, bovine, rat, mouse and hamster Casein Kinase 2β (approx. 30 kDa). The antibody epitope lies within amino-acids 123-127 of human CK2β.

Immunogen

recombinant human casein kinase 2β (CK2β). The antibody epitope resides within amino acids 123-127.

Application

Monoclonal Anti-Casein Kinase 2β antibody is suitable for use in indirect immunofluorescence (using A549 cells ). The product can also be used for western blot (2-4 μg/mL using total cell extract of HepG2 cells), microarray, dot blot and indirect ELISA.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Casein Kinase 2β encodes the beta subunit of casein kinase II, a ubiquitous protein kinase which regulates metabolic pathways, signal transduction, transcription, translation, and replication. The enzyme is composed of three subunits, alpha, alpha pr
