General description

Naphthalene is widely used as an intermediate in the chemical and plastics industry. It is commonly found in petroleum, coal, mothballs, cigarette smoke, biomass burning, incomplete combustion, etc.

Application

Naphthalene is used as a calibration standard for the real-time quantification with high specificity for naphthalene vapor and other HOVs in industrial environment using NaDos personal exposure monitor (PEM) device.
