General description

Milliflex® Cassette are ready to use agar-based media to be used with Milliflex® or Milliflex Oasis® system for convenient, rapid and reliable bioburden testing. The prefilled agar cassette helps to streamline the microbial contamination testing workflow with quality assurance and avoiding risks of exogenous contamination. Each plate is a 3-piece assembly containing approximately 10ml of the media. This medium is designed for the isolation and identification of Pseudomonas aeruginosa found in various types of water, especially high purity water. Cetrimide is the selective agent. It does not inhibit the pigment production of P. aeruginosa. In the presence of Cetrimide (which acts as a quaternary ammonium cationic detergent), bacterial cells growth other than P. aeruginosa is inhibited due to the release of nitrogen and phosphorous.

Application

Milliflex® Cassette prefilled with Cetrimide Agar is used in Bioburden testing and general microbiological analysis of water especially high purity water (electronics, RO, distilled or purified). It is widely used in pharmaceutical, cosmetic and brewing industry.
