General description
MILLIPLEX® Circulating Cancer Biomarker Panel 1 is a 25-plex kit that can be used for the simultaneous quantification of any or all of the following analytes in serum, plasma and tissue/cell lysate and culture supernatant samples: AFP, CA125, CA15-3, CA19-9, CEA, CYFRA21-1, sFas, sFasL, FGF2, β-HCG, HE4, HGF, IL-6, IL-8, Leptin, MIF, Osteopontin, Prolactin, PSA (free), PSA (total), SCF, TGFα, TNFα, TRAIL and VEGF. Note that certain biomarkers are tumor specific, such as PSA, while others, such as IL-8, have been detected in many cancers. PSA (free) and PSA (total) cannot be plexed together. This kit uses a 96-well format, contains a lyophilized standard cocktail, two internal assay quality controls and can measure up to 38 samples in duplicate.
The Luminex® xMAP® platform uses a magnetic bead immunoassay format for ideal speed and sensitivity to quantitate multiple analytes simultaneously, dramatically improving productivity while conserving valuable sample volume.
Panel Type: Circulating Cancer
Specificity
Cross-reactivity between the antibodies and any of the other analytes in this panel is non-detectable or negligible.
Application
- Analytes: α-Fetoprotein (AFP), CA125, CA15-3, CA19-9, CEA, CYFRA21-1, sFas (TNFRSF6), sFasL, FGF-2 (FGF-basic), β-HCG (HCGβ), HE4, HGF, IL-6, IL-8 (CXCL8), Leptin, MIF, Osteopontin (OPN), Prolactin, PSA (free)*, PSA (total)*, SCF, TGFα, TNFα, TRAIL (TNFSF10), VEGF.
- Note: Total PSA and Free PSA cannot be plexed together
- Recommended Sample Type: Human serum, plasma or tissue/cell culture supernatants or lysates
