General description

Method: colorimetric with color card and comparator block with long test tubes 0.02 - 0.04 - 0.07 - 0.10 - 0.15 - 0.2 - 0.3 - 0.4 -0.5 mg/l Ni MQuant®
The MQuant® Nickel test (formally MColortest®) measures nickel(II) ions in
  • Groundwater and surface water
  • Drinking water
  • Industrial water
  • Wastewater and percolating water
  • Electroplating wastewater
This test is not suited for seawater.

Method
Nickel(II) ions are oxidized by iodine and then transformed with dimethylglyoxime in an ammoniacal solution into a red-brown complex. The nickel concentration is measured semiquantitatively by visual comparison of the color of the measurement solution with the color fields of a color card. The unique brilliance of the print and their fine color graduation allow precise analyses, even at the lower end of the concentration range.
Due to the long test tubes a sensitive measurement range can be covered.
Using the refill pack 1.18461 containing all the reagents, the original test kit can be used for a very long time, making it a particularly economical and ecological system.
The test measures nickel(II) ions in groundwater and surface water, drinking water, industrial water and wastewater.
