General description

Ceramide-1-phosphate (C1P) is a ceramide-derived metabolite. It belongs to the class of bioactive lipid mediators.

Application

C18:1 Ceramide-1-Phosphate (d18:1/18:1(9Z)) is suitable for use in fluorescence analysis of phosphatidic acid-binding tetravalent peptide (PAB-TP) phospholipid specificity. It is also suitable for use in liposome cosedimentation assay to compare its affinity with α-synuclein-N.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Ceramide-1-phosphate (C1P) regulates inflammatory response and phagocytosis. It is also implicated in cell survival, cell growth and death.
