Lanthanum(III) chloride is an inorganic halide that exhibits good ionic conductivity and unique optical properties. It is widely used to prepare lanthanum nanomaterials and as a catalyst in organic synthesis.

Application

Lanthanum(III) chloride can be used:
  • As a precursor to synthesize carbon fiber/carbon nanotube hybrids.
  • As a catalyst along with chloroacetic acid, for the rapid synthesis ofxanthene derivatives.
