Centrosomal protein of 128kDa (C14orf61) belongs to CEP family of proteins. C14orf61 has been identified as a centrosomal protein via protein correlation profiling (PCP)-SILAC mass spectroscopy. The protein was shown to be present during interphase and mitosis.

Application

Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

Centrosomal protein (CEP) family proteins are major constituents of the centrosome. They are mainly are involved in centriole biogenesis and cell replication.
