We demonstrate that uniform dispersion of TiO(2) on graphene is critical for the photocatalytic effect of the composite. The hydrothermal method was employed to synthesize TiO(2) nanowires (NW) and then fabricate graphene-TiO(2) nanowire nanocomposite (GNW). Graphene oxide (GO) reduction to

Excitonic solar cells-including organic, hybrid organic-inorganic and dye-sensitized cells (DSCs)-are promising devices for inexpensive, large-scale solar energy conversion. The DSC is currently the most efficient and stable excitonic photocell. Central to this device is a thick nanoparticle film that provides

This paper reports a simple procedure for derivatizing the surface of anatase TiO2 nanofibers with Pt nanoparticles and then Pt nanowires. The nanofibers were prepared in the form of a nonwoven mat by electrospinning with a solution containing both poly(vinyl

Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs) are 3rd generation solar cells combining the promise of high efficiency with low production costs.

In many technologies, performance requirements drive device dimensions below the scale of electron mean free paths (λe). This trend has increased scientific interest and technological importance of electrical resistivities at the nanoscale.

Among various ceramics, one-dimensional (1-D) piezoelectric ceramics have attracted significant scientific attention for use in energy harvesting.

Electronically, it behaves as a wide band gap (3.2 eV) semiconductor and exhibits memristor properties.2 Optically, TiO2 has high opacity with a very high refractive index3 (>2.4), and it exhibits strong absorbance in the UV range.
