General description
In order to assess any variations in the LC-MS-based metabolomics analysis data, it is recommended to add an additional QC (quality control) sample at the beginning of every analytical experiment batch and should be injected every 4-10 injections in to the workflow steps. The QC sample evaluates any drifting phenomenons like intensity values, ion suppression or any changes in the retention time of the materials peaks in the LC-MS data.
The Non Polar Metabolites QC Mix is a ready to use solution (~2:1:1 IPA:ACN:H20) for mass spectroscopy workflow. By using the QC mix, the user will be able to assess drifting and ion suppresion phenomenons. The Non Polar Metabolites QC Mix comprised from nine components solution mix which contains a hydrophobic type of metabolites such as, cholesterol derivatives, unsaturated fatty acids, phospholipids and ceramides.

Features and Benefits
- The non polar metabolites QC mix covers ~ 100-800 Da mass range
- The mix was designed for ESI (+/-) detection
- The mixture comes as a ready to use solution (~2:1:1 IPA:ACN:H20) format in crimp top (Silicone/PTFE liner) amber vial which suitable for use with most of the LC-MS autosamplers
- The recommended storage temperature of the mixture is -20°C, thawing of the sample is not required. Warm the sample to room temparature and mix briefly
