Specificity

Human Talin. This antibody reacts with an N-terminal epitope in talin, between amino acids 139-433. On microinjection into whole cells MAB1676 disrupts actin stress fibers and focal contacts and inhibits cell motility.

Immunogen

Epitope: N-terminus, a.a. 139-433

Application

Anti-Talin 1 Antibody, N-terminus, a.a. 139-433, clone TA205 detects level of Talin & has been published & validated for use in IP, WB, IH.
Immunoblotting, recognizes a band at ~230kDa.

Immunoprecipitation

Immunofluorescence

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user.

In the present study, we examine the cell biology of Leishmania amastigote uptake by mammalian cells and compare this process to the phagocytosis of IgG-opsonized erythrocytes. We report that many aspects of amastigote uptake into macrophages resemble classical receptor-mediated phagocytosis.

Insight into how molecular machines perform their biological functions depends on knowledge of the spatial organization of the components, their connectivity, geometry, and organizational hierarchy. However, these parameters are difficult to determine in multicomponent assemblies such as integrin-based focal adhesions
