General description

ReadyTube® is ready to use media to provide the highest level of quality and testing confidence for improving accuracy and significantly reducing the risk of false results. ReadyTube® buffered peptone water is pre-enrichment medium, free from inhibitors and is well buffered. It provides conditions for the resuscitation of the cells that have been injured by processes of food preservation. The media contains Peptone, including an enzymatic digest of casein, as a source of carbon, nitrogen, vitamins, and minerals. Sodium chloride maintains the osmotic balance, and phosphates buffer the medium. The broth is rich in nutrients enabling it to produce high resuscitation rates for sub-lethally injured bacteria and support intense growth.

Application

ReadyTube® Buffered peptone water is used as a diluent to detect bacteria, particularly pathogenic Enterobacteriaceae such as Salmonella and Cronobacter, from food, animal feed, and water, and as a diluent for sample preparation.
