Allgemeine Beschreibung

Glucocorticoid receptor (GR) gene/NR3C1 (nuclear receptor subfamily 3 group C member 1) is located on human chromosome 5q31. It belongs to the steroid receptor superfamily that consists of ligand-activated nuclear transcription factors.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human GR.

Immunogen Range: 181-230

Anwendung

Anti-GR antibody has been used in western blotting.

Biochem./physiol. Wirkung

The glucocorticoid receptor (GR) gene/(NR3C1) is associated with asthma. It is required for glucose homeostasis, hyperinsulinemia and increased fat deposition. It also regulates cell differentiation, nervous and immune system functions.

Epidemiologic studies have shown that the prevalence of stress-related mood disorders is higher in women, which suggests a different response of neuroendocrine circuits involved in the response to stressful events, as well as a genetic background influence. The aim of

Despite unprecedented responses of some cancers to immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) therapies, the application of checkpoint inhibitors in pancreatic cancer has been unsuccessful. Glucocorticoids and glucocorticoid receptor (GR) signaling are long thought to suppress immunity by acting on immune cells.

Alveolar mammary epithelial cells (MECs) in mammary glands are highly specialized cells that produce milk for suckling infants. Alveolar MECs also form less permeable tight junctions (TJs) to prevent the leakage of milk components after parturition. In the formation process
