Allgemeine Beschreibung
Kinetin is a synthetic cytokinin, which functions as a plant growth regulator.
Anwendung
Kinetin is an adenine-type cytokinin phytohormone that is used in plant culture media such as Murashige & Skoog media in conjunction with auxins such as indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), Indole-3-butyric acid (IBA), 1-napthaleneacetic acid (NAA) or others to induce the fomation of callus and to regenerate plant tissues from callus.
Biochem./physiol. Wirkung
Kinetin is a type of cytokinin that is a plant hormone that promotes cell division. It is a growth factor that exerts several anti-aging and antioxidant effects on cells and organs. It is found to protect, effectively, the rat spleen from aging, apoptosis, and atrophy. It can help in inhibiting apoptosis, while promoting the proliferation of splenic lymphocyte, and effectively enhancing the immune power of the aging rats and slow down the aging process. It is also useful for enhancing phytoextraction.

The use of plant growth regulators (PGRs) and biostimulants to enhance phytoextraction is gaining popularity in phytoremediation technology. This study investigated the stimulatory effects of smoke-water (SW), a smoke-derived compound karrikinolide (KAR1) and other known plant growth regulators (PGRs) [gibberellic

Aux/IAA and auxin response factor (ARF) are two important families that have been well recognized for their roles in auxin-mediated responses. Aux/IAA proteins are short-lived transcriptional regulators that mediate the auxin responses through interaction with ARF transcription factors. Although quite
