Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

5-BDBD is a specific inhibitor of P2X4. The compound inhibits P2X4 currents in CHO cells with an IC50 of 500 nM.
In native tissues, 5-BDBD is considered as a beneficial antagonist to analyze the effect of P2X receptors (P2XRs) subtype P2X4R.

Electrical stimulation (ES) is known to guide the development and regeneration of many tissues. However, although preclinical and clinical studies have demonstrated superior effects of ES on cartilage repair, the effects of ES on chondrogenesis remain elusive. Since mesenchyme stem

Tissues differentially secrete multiple colony stimulating factors under conditions of homeostasis and inflammation, orientating recruited circulating monocytes to differentiate to macrophage with differing functional phenotypes. Here, we investigated ATP-evoked intracellular Ca2+ responses in human macrophage differentiated with macrophage colony-stimulating factor

Compelling evidences point out a crucial role for extracellular nucleotides such as adenosine triphosphate (ATP) during inflammatory conditions. Once released into the extracellular space, ATP modulates migration, maturation and function of various inflammatory cells via activating of purinergic receptors of
