Informations sur le gène

human ... ARL13B(200894)

Description générale

ARL13B/ARL2L1 is an important neuronal developmental protein, as well as, a cilium-specific protein required for the control of the microtubule-based ciliary axoneme structure. ARL13B/ARL2L1 is required for proper patterning in neural development during neural tube formation, and ARL13B/ARL2L1 is critical for cerebral cortex development and the initial polarization of radial glia scaffold, the first step in cortex development. ARL13B/ARL2L1 also controls the migration and placement of post mitotic interneurons. ARL13B/ARL2L1 is found in cellular projections and cilium and is widely expressed in the developing system as well in the gut. ARL13B/ARL2L1 also is a member of the small GTPase superfamily as it binds GTP but does not cleave it.

Immunogène

KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to human ARL13B.

Application

Anti-ARL13B Antibody is an antibody against ARL13B for use in Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry.
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:50 dilution from a representative lot detected ARL13B in human cerebellum, embryonic mouse liver, and human cerebral cortex tissue.

Mutations affecting ciliary components cause a series of related genetic disorders in humans, including nephronophthisis (NPHP), Joubert syndrome (JBTS), Meckel-Gruber syndrome (MKS), and Bardet-Biedl syndrome (BBS), which are collectively termed "ciliopathies." Recent protein-protein interaction studies combined with genetic analyses revealed
