3,4-Methylenedioxypyrovalerone, also known as MDPV, Mtv, or Super Coke, is a new designer drug and stimulant with cases of abuse reported in Europe and the US. In mid- to late-2010, MDPV started appearing in the US as a legal drug alternative marketed as “bath salts” under names including Ivory Wave, Tranquility, and Cloud 9. This certified solution standard offers numerous applications in GC/MS or LC/MS testing from forensic analysis and clinical toxicology to urine drug monitoring.

Application


  • MDPV HCl research chemical: Used to study the impact of synthetic cathinones on gut microbiota, providing insights into their broader physiological effects (Angoa-Pérez et al., 2023).

  • Synthetic cathinones: Employed in forensic science for the detection and quantification of synthetic cathinones in hair, aiding in the analysis of drug abuse cases (Freni et al., 2019).

  • Psychoactive substance study: Investigated for their effects on human behavior and mental health, contributing to a deeper understanding of substance use disorders (Lendoiro et al., 2017).

  • Dopamine reuptake inhibitor: Researched for its potential mechanisms as a dopamine reuptake inhibitor, providing valuable data for the development of therapeutic agents for neuropsychiatric disorders (Wood et al., 2015).
