Application

Cadmium Telluride Quantum Dots (CdTe QDs) are available in solid form. They are coated with carboxyl groups which makes them water soluble to make aqueous solutions. These carboxyl functionalized hydrophilic quantum dots can be further conjugated fur use as labels. CdTe QDs can be used for optical and display applications; solar cells and biomedical applications.

A photosensitized high-surface area transparent electrode has been employed to increase the short circuit current of a photovoltaic device with a blend of poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) and (6,6)-phenyl C61 butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) as the active layer. This is achieved

The potential use of CdTe quantum dots as luminescence nano-probes for lifetime fluorescence nano-thermometry is demonstrated. The maximum thermal sensitivity achievable is strongly dependent on the quantum dot size. For the smallest sizes (close to 1 nm) the lifetime thermal

This study was undertaken to evaluate the antioxidant potential of an aqueous extract from Merremia emarginata leaves because this plant has a very high flavonoid and phenol content. The in vitro antioxidant activity was measured by diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), 2,2'-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulphonic
