General description

TSKgel® Super-Octyl columns are packed with monodispersed 2 micron (nominal, mean particle size is 2.3 micron) spherical silica particles covalently bonded with phenyl groups. The small particle size used in Super Series and TSKgel ODS-140HTP columns provides the highest efficiency of all TSKgel reversed phase columns. The monodispersity of the particles reduces column back pressure to values more typical of larger particles, thus allowing the use of higher flow rates than other 2 micron packings. TSKgel Super-Octyl columns are less hydrophobic than TSKgel Super-ODS, but more hydrophobic than TSKgel Super-Phenyl columns. They are an excellent choice for peptides, proteins, amino acids, tryptic digests, nucleotides, pharmaceutical molecules and food/beverage samples.
