General description

Ascentis® Express PAH is a high-speed, high-performance liquid chromatography column based on the proven Fused-Core® particle design. The Fused-Core® particle provides a thin porous shell of high-purity silica surrounding a solid silica core. This particle design exhibits very high column efficiency due to the shallow diffusion paths in the 0.5 μm thick porous shell and the small overall particle size of 2.7 μm. The unendcapped trifunctional C18 stationary phase of Ascentis® Express PAH provides a stable, reversed-phase packing that can be used for analysis of acids, bases, and zwitterionic compounds, but has been specifically designed for the separation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.

Analysis Note

The target analytes include polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), acids, bases, and zwitterionic compounds.
