General description

κ Light Chains (free) is obtained from human IgG κ myeloma sera. Fractionation, ion-exchange, and affinity chromatography procedures are used for purification.

Application

Purified κ light chains may be used as an immunoglobulin calibrator, reference antigen, blocking agent or coating protein in a variety of immunoassays including ELISA, dot-blot immunobinding, Western immunoblotting, immunodiffusion, immunoelectrophoresis, hemagglutination, and cell-binding assays.

Physical form

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate and 0.15 M sodium chloride, pH 7.2, containing 1.0 M glycine and 0.1% sodium azide.

Preparation Note

Purified from pooled IgG kappa myeloma sera.
