General description

Bacillus ID Membranes are substrate-carrying ID membranes used for rapid identification and differentiation of Bacillus sp. through characteristic color reactions. The membranes contain chromogenic substrates, which serve as the basis for microbe differentiation by color. The principle is based on a specific enzyme-substrate reaction in which Bacillus sp. will form green-colored colonies.

Application

Bacillus ID Membrane is used for rapid detection, confirmation, and differentiation of various species of Bacillus such as B. subtilis, B. cereus, B. thuringiensis, B. megaterium, B. coagulans, B. pumilus in food, meat, fish samples. They find their application in various sectors such as the food and dairy industry, water industry, pharmaceutical laboratory testing, cosmetic industry, environmental and sanitary testing, clinical diagnostic, etc.
