General description

MILLIPLEX® Rat Metabolic Hormone Expanded Panel is a 14-plex kit to be used for the simultaneous quantification of any or all of the following analytes in tissue/lysate and culture supernatant samples and rat serum or plasma: Active Amylin, C-peptide 2, Active Ghrelin, Gastric Inhibitory Polypeptide (GIP), Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) Active or Total, Glucagon, Interleukin-6 (IL-6), Insulin, Leptin, Monocyte Chemoattractant Protein-1 (MCP-1), Pancreatic Polypeptide (PP), Peptide YY (PYY), Secretin, and Tumor Necrosis Factor alpha (TNFα). Notes: GLP-1 (Active) and GLP-1 (Total) cannot be run together in the same assay. Protease inhibitors should be added upon collection of samples.

Research Category: Metabolism & Endocrinology

Research Sub-Category:

  • Metabolic Syndrome
  • Obesity
  • Diabetes

Application

The MILLIPLEX® Rat Metabolic Hormone Expanded Panel is a bead-based quantitative assay based on the Luminex® xMAP® technology, which enables the simultaneous analysis of up to 14 analytes in a 25 µl sample volume. This is an overnight assay requiring 25 µL rat serum, plasma, or cell/tissue culture supernatants or lysates. No sample dilution is required.

Analytes Available: Amylin (active);C-Peptide 2; Ghrelin (active);GIP (total);GLP-1 (active);GLP-1 (total);Glucagon;IL-6;Insulin;Leptin;MCP-1/CCL2;Pancreatic Polypeptide (PP);PYY (total);Secretin;TNFα.

Cross Reactivity: There was no or negligible cross-reactivity between the antibodies and any of the other analytes in this panel.

Sensitivity: Refer to kit protocol for sensitivities of each analyte.

Features and Benefits

Design your multiplex kit by choosing available analytes within this panel.
