General description

C-X-C chemokine receptor type 5 (CXCR5; Burkitt lymphoma receptor 1; Monocyte-derived receptor 15) is a G-protein coupled cytokine receptor that binds selectively to the CXCL13 (B lymphocyte chemoattractant) ligand, and mediates the development and function of the immune system. It is expressed in mature B cells, and facilitates the migration of B cells into follicles of the splenic white pulp, and enables deposition of antigen on follicular dendritic cells. It is also involved in the development of lymph nodes and Peyer’s patches. Previous studies have reported that the expression of CXCR5 increases in rheumatoid arthritis.

Specificity

This antibody recognizes the cytoplasmic domain of C-X-C chemokine receptor type 5 (CXCR5).

Immunogen

Epitope: Cytoplasmic domain
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to the cytoplasmic domain of human C-X-C chemokine receptor type 5 (CXCR5).

Application

Anti-C-X-C chemokine receptor type 5 (CXCR5) Antibody is an antibody against C-X-C chemokine receptor type 5 (CXCR5) for use in Western Blotting, IHC(P).
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from representative lot detected C-X-C chemokine receptor type 5 (CXCR5) in mouse frontal cortex neurons and mouse spleen lymphocytes.

Quality

Evaluated by Western Blot in SH-SY5Y cell lysate.

Western Blot Analysis: 0.1 µg/mL of this antibody detected C-X-C chemokine receptor type 5 (CXCR5) in 10 µg of SH-SY5Y cell lysate.

Target description

~51 / 38 kDa observed. Uniprot describes 2 isoforms produced by alternative splicing with molecular weights ~42 and ~37 kDa The calculated molecular weight of this protein is 42 kDa, but can be observed at ~51 kDa due to high glycosylation.
