General description

Iron containing compound of porcine origin that can induce H2O2-dependent lipid peroxidation. Reported to increase the number and size of myotubes and the frequency of myotube contractions. Induces heme-oxygenase-1 activity and reduces renal injury induced by mercuric compounds.
