Application

Silver nano ink can be used in Research areas for the fabrication of printed electronic devices. It can be utilized for printing conductive traces, electrodes, interconnects, and other circuit components on flexible or rigid substrates. The high electrical conductivity and stability of silver nanoparticles make them suitable for efficient charge collection in solar cell architectures. It can be used in studies such as electromagnetic shielding coatings, transparent conductive films for touchscreens, and conductive traces on 3D-printed structures.
This Smart′Ink S-CS61308 conductive silver ink is particularly well suited for applications requiring high conductivity and high resolution at very low curing temperatures. This ink, based on silver, is perfectly adapted to design conductive tracks on flexible substrates and is suitable
to produce antennas for IoT applications (HF, UHF).
This ink has been developed to address the applications which require very low curing temperatures.

Compatible Printing Method: Aerosol jet Optomec

Features and Benefits

Product Benefits:
  • Very high electrical conductivity
  • Very low curing temperatures for printing on flexible substrates
  • Non CMR ink
  • Unchanged conductivity on bending
  • Compatible with various curing processes including photonic, IR, low vacuum oven and thermal
  • Good adhesion on various flexible substrates (PC, PET, Kapton®, etc)

Usage tips:
  • This Conductive Ink needs to be agitated before use
  • The ink must be warmed at room temperature before use.
  • Dilution with Ethanol can be necessary depending on your printing equipment configuration.
  • Clean-up solution: Cleaning solution C-FS21511

Aerosol Jet can print conformal interconnects on 3D surfaces eliminating the need for wire bonding – for example printing electrical connections on 3D stacked die or for LED chip fabrication. Components can also be printed onto 3 dimensional surfaces eliminating the need for a separate substrate thereby reducing the size, thickness and weight of the end product. For example, Aerosol Jet is used to print antennas and sensors that conform to the shape of the underlying substrate such as a cell phone case. The Aerosol Jet process also supports printing on a wide variety of substrates including plastics, ceramics and metallic structures.
