Application

Our extensively purified reactant free gold nanoparticles are ideal for sensitive applications requiring a minimum amount of contaminating reactants remnant from the manufacturing process. This product is well suited for conjugate development by passive adsorption of proteins and other ligands to the gold nanoparticle surface. The resulting conjugate can be used in blotting, electron microscopy, and immunohistochemistry applications. Note: For applications involving salt concentration, such as photovolatics, our stabilized nanoparticles in citrate may provide better performance and results.

This extensively purified material is reactant free, monodisperse (<12% variability in size and shape), and provides significantly improved surface reactivity. Applications include Surface Enhanced Raman Labels, Sensing/Detection, Biological Targeting, Plasmonics, and Electronics.

The removal of reactants means that further growth of the nanoparticles is also inhibited leading to a longer lasting material.
