General description

Nafion 117 solution can be used in the formation of nafion membranes with properties like good water uptake (~27%) and ionic conductivity (~1.23 × 10−2 Ω−1 cm−1). Its current density at 600V for the polymer electrolyte fuel cells is ~640 mA cm−2.
We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. This product has been enhanced for energy efficiency. Find details here.

Application

Nafion 117 solution can be used for a variety of applications such as:
  • polyelectrolytic membrane for fuel cells
  • metal extraction from aqueous solutions
  • for the production of hydrogen by thermochemical water splitting
  • as a reference membrane to evaluate the methanol permeability
