General description

The MILLIFLEX® Rapid Microbiology Detection System is an automated solution for the rapid detection, response and resolution of microbial contamination in filterable samples throughout the manufacturing process. The system improves process control, product yield and the timely release of products. Based on Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) Bioluminescence technology, the MILLIFLEX® Rapid System delivers faster test results than traditional microbial contamination detection methods.

MILLIFLEX OASIS® Rapid 100 mL funnel is a ready-to-use, e-beam irradiated filtration unit that combines a funnel and a gridded membrane filter in a single device offering a high-end solution for bioburden testing. The filtration unit is made of Styrene butadiene copolymer and the membrane is made of mixed cellulose esters with 0.22 μm pore size, white gridded and 49mm diameter. The MILLIFLEX OASIS® membrane filter possesses almost twice the surface area of standard membranes enabling faster filtration and the funnel can be easily detached from the membrane filter without the use of any tools. The convex shape of the membrane filter after filtration demonstrates its integrity and prevents air bubbles from being trapped when placed on culture media.

The MILLIFLEX PROTACT feature protects your samples from secondary contamination and makes the membrane-to-agar contact optimal delivering the most reliable results. The patented sealed membrane filter feature prevents the bypass phenomenon often found with other filtration systems ensures robust read-out.

The MILLIFLEX AZURE feature combines transparent funnel and all-around filling level indicators for an easy filling from any angle. The innovative filtration unit assembly design prevents any leaks or sample by-pass of the membrane to ensures the right sample volume is filtered.

The MILLIFLEX RACK&STACK feature also includes a locked lid for safe transportation and incubation.

Application

The Milliflex Oasis® Rapid Microbiology Detection System is used in Bioburden testing, water monitoring and general microbiological analysis of beer, bottled water and samples containing microbial growth inhibitors as the antimicrobial agents do not bind to the membrane. They are widely used in pharmaceutical, cosmetic and brewing industry.
