General description

This building block is prepared from highly purified PEG to ensure homogeneous products free from contaminating PEG oligomers. In this derivative the azido group acts as an orthogonally masked amine; it is stable to both TFA and piperidine but is easily converted to an amine by treatment with phosphines or thiols. For a similar spacer, see reference [1]. This material is now only available as an oil.
