General description

Copper(II) nitrate hydrate is a blue crystalline solid widely used in the field of nanomaterial synthesis and secondary batteries.

Application

Copper(II) nitrate hydrate can be used:
  • As a precursor to prepare CuO nanoparticles with photocatalytic activity.
  • As a starting material to synthesize delafossite CuGaO2(CGO)electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution from water splitting.
  • To catalyze oxidative coupling of 2,6-dimethylphenol to produce a polymer which is an important engineering material.
