Description

Remarque sur l'analyse

Bisphenol A (BPA) is a commonly used synthetic chemical added to a wide variety of plastics and epoxy resins to improve the stability of the final product. BPA has been under scrutiny as an endocrine disruptor, so its level in consumer products, food, and environmental and biological systems is an area of active research and regulation. This application shows a means to purify, concentrate, analyze, and quantify BPA in liquid milk to 1 ng/mL (1 ppb) using SPE and HPLC with fluorescence detection. SupelMIP® SPE - Bisphenol A was used to extract the compound from the milk matrix. Analysis was via HPLC on an Ascentis® Express C18. High purity LC-MS solvents used in the mobile phase provided robust, clean operation.
