Application

  • Rapid evolutionary change in trait correlations of single proteins: This article explores the rapid evolutionary changes in protein traits, providing a fundamental understanding that can inform biochemical studies using tools like Cefotaxime sodium to influence protein interactions in bacterial cells, enhancing the effectiveness of antibacterial therapies (Dasmeh et al., 2024).

  • Moringa oleifera as a potential antimicrobial against pathogenic Clostridium perfringens isolates in farm animals: Research investigates the antimicrobial properties of Moringa oleifera, with implications for enhancing the efficacy of antibiotic treatments like Cefotaxime sodium in combating bacterial infections in veterinary applications (Ibrahim and Altammar, 2024).

  • In vitro antibacterial activity of antibiotics and plant essential oils against Escherichia coli MTCC443 supported through the molecular docking and pharmacokinetics study: This study examines the synergistic effects of Cefotaxime sodium with plant essential oils against E. coli, highlighting its potential in developing new antibacterial combinations that enhance drug efficacy and reduce resistance (Jain et al., 2024).

  • Efficacy and safety of antibiotics for treatment of leptospirosis: a systematic review and network meta-analysis: This comprehensive review assesses the effectiveness of Cefotaxime sodium among other antibiotics in treating leptospirosis, offering critical insights into its clinical utility and safety profile (Ji et al., 2024).

  • Changing Landscape of Antimicrobial Resistance in Neonatal Sepsis: An in silico Analyses of Multidrug Resistance in Klebsiella pneumoniae: The study discusses the rising challenge of antibiotic resistance, emphasizing the role of Cefotaxime sodium in treating complex cases of neonatal sepsis, thus underlining the need for continuous research into its mechanisms and resistance patterns (Vijayakumar et al., 2024).

Biochem/physiol Actions

Cefotaxim inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) which inhibits the final transpeptidation step of peptidoglycan synthesis in bacterial cell walls. As a result, bacteria lyse due to cell wall autolytic enzymes.
