Physical form

Liquid TBS containing 0.4% Tween 20 and 0.1% Kathon as a preservative. Preparation: Before use, dilute this 20X Rinse Buffer to 1X with distilled or deionized water. For example, to make 1 liter of 1X Rinse Buffer, add 50 mL of 20X Rinse Buffer to 950 mL of water and mix thoroughly. For improved results it is recommended (but not required) that Tween 20 be added to the 1X Rinse Buffer at a final concentration of 0.1% (1.0 mL of Tween 20 for each 1 liter of 1X Rinse Buffer) and mix thoroughly.

Store prepared 1X Rinse Buffer at 2-8ºC. Warm to room temperature before use. Discard 1X Rinse Buffer if it becomes cloudy or contaminated.

Storage and Stability

When stored at 2-8°C, the 20X Rinse Buffer is stable up to the expiration date printed on the label. Do not freeze or expose to elevated temperatures.
